Position: QA Manual Tester

Location: Noida

Parangat Technologies, a leading software development company, is currently seeking a talented and dedicated individual for the position of QA Manual Tester. If you have a passion for software testing, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail, we invite you to join our team in Noida.

Role of the Manual Tester:

  1. Analyzing Client Requirements: Collaborate with clients to understand their software requirements and objectives. Analyze and interpret these requirements to formulate effective test strategies.
  2. Test Environment Setup: Arrange and set up the necessary test environment to execute test cases effectively. Ensure that the test environment accurately reflects the client’s production environment.
  3. Review Meetings: Participate in review meetings with project stakeholders, including developers, designers, and clients. Provide valuable insights and feedback to enhance the software’s quality and functionality.
  4. Test Case Execution: Design and execute comprehensive test cases to validate software functionality and performance. Document test results and identify any defects or issues encountered during testing.
  5. Defect Tracking: Track and report identified defects to the development team promptly. Collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution of reported issues.
  6. Communication with Test Manager: Maintain effective communication with the test manager to provide regular updates on testing progress, challenges faced, and any additional support required.

Manual Tester Deliverables:

  • Test Plans: Develop detailed test plans outlining the testing approach, scope, and objectives.
  • Bug Reporting: Document and report bugs to the development team, providing clear and concise descriptions to facilitate effective resolution.
  • Test Cases: Create and maintain comprehensive test cases for various testing processes, including functional testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Summary Reports: Generate summary reports highlighting the testing results, including pass rates, identified defects, and overall software quality assessment.
  • Test Data: Prepare and maintain relevant test data required for executing test cases.
  • Suggestion Documents: Provide suggestions and recommendations to improve software quality and enhance the testing process.
  • Test Scenarios: Identify and define test scenarios to ensure comprehensive coverage of software functionality.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manual testing role.
  • Experience in an automated test environment.
  • Familiarity with iOS testing frameworks like Travis CI and XC Test.
  • Proficiency in test management software and tools like ALM and Jira.
  • Strong knowledge of user acceptance testing processes.
  • Basic programming skills with a focus on Java programming.
  • Familiarity with QA software tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of SQL for database testing.

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying software defects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Immediate joiners are highly preferred.
