- Test Planning and Strategy:
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to define testing objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies, outlining testing approaches for various projects.
- Define and prioritize test cases based on business requirements and project timelines.
- Manual Testing:
- Lead and perform manual testing activities, including API testing, database testing, web and mobile application testing.
- Execute test cases to identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues.
- Verify software fixes and track defect resolution progress.
- Leadership and Mentoring:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the QA team, ensuring efficient and effective testing processes.
- Mentor junior QA team members, assisting them in skill development and career growth.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Test Automation Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the automation testing team to identify suitable test cases for automation and ensure optimal test coverage.
- Provide input for test automation strategy and assist in test script creation and execution.
- Defect Management and Reporting:
- Accurately report defects and provide detailed information to aid developers in debugging and resolution.
- Monitor the defect lifecycle, verify fixes, and maintain accurate defect records.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and enhance QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Implement best practices and contribute to the overall improvement of software quality.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience of 4+ years in manual software testing.
- Strong expertise in API testing, database testing, web and mobile application testing.
- Proficiency with version control tools such as GIT.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
