Position: QA Engineer

Location: Versova, Mumbai

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through manual and automation testing using Appium. Responsibilities:

  1. Test Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and assist in creating comprehensive test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing.
  2. Manual Testing: Conduct manual testing to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications.
  3. Automation Testing: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Appium for mobile applications.
  4. Test Execution: Execute both manual and automated test cases to identify defects, bugs, and performance issues in the software.
  5. Defect Reporting: Document and report software defects using bug tracking tools and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  6. Test Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and test procedures for future reference.
  7. Test Automation Framework: Contribute to the development and enhancement of the test automation framework using Appium.
  8. Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that software updates and enhancements do not negatively impact existing functionality.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to enhancing the testing practices within the organization.
  10. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of project requirements and testing goals.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a QA Engineer, with at least 1 year of experience in automation testing using Appium.
  3. Manual Testing: Strong understanding of manual testing concepts, methodologies, and techniques.
  4. Automation Testing: Proficiency in creating and executing automated test scripts using Appium for mobile applications.
  5. Mobile Testing: Hands-on experience in testing mobile applications on different platforms (iOS and Android).
  6. Bug Tracking Tools: Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar tools for defect reporting and tracking.
  7. Test Documentation: Excellent documentation skills to maintain detailed test cases and test results.
  8. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot software issues effectively.
  9. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate test results and collaborate with team members.
  10. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  11. Automation Framework: Knowledge of test automation frameworks and best practices.
