Position: QA Engineer – Manual Testing

Location: Ahmedabad, Chennai

UST Global, a leading digital technology services company, is seeking a skilled and experienced QA Engineer – Manual Testing to join our team. If you have a passion for ensuring the quality of software products through comprehensive manual testing, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Conduct manual testing of software applications, including API testing, database testing, and functional testing, to identify and report software defects and ensure product quality.
  • Design and execute test cases based on project requirements, ensuring complete test coverage and adherence to test objectives.
  • Perform regression testing to validate software changes and enhancements, ensuring existing functionality is unaffected.
  • Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and debug reported defects, providing detailed defect reports and necessary information for resolution.
  • Participate in test case reviews, requirement reviews, and design reviews, providing valuable feedback to improve product quality and effectiveness.
  • Continuously enhance testing processes and methodologies, leveraging industry best practices and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in manual testing and related technologies, sharing knowledge and best practices within the team.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer – Manual Testing, with a minimum of 3 to 7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in API testing, database testing, and functional testing.
  • Proficient in designing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
  • Experience in identifying, documenting, and reporting software defects using defect tracking tools.
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and the ability to work in Agile or Waterfall environments.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate test progress, results, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
