Position: QA Engineer (Tester + FIX Protocol)

Location: Pune (Hybrid – Work From Office and Remote)

As we grow our team, we are currently seeking a skilled QA Engineer with experience in testing and FIX Protocol to join us in Pune.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a QA Engineer with expertise in FIX Protocol, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct comprehensive testing of applications, including FIX Protocol testing, to identify and report defects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to deliver high-quality software products to our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. FIX Protocol Testing: Conduct end-to-end testing of applications that utilize the FIX Protocol, ensuring seamless and accurate communication between financial systems.
  2. Test Planning and Design: Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand software requirements and design test plans and test cases that cover functional and non-functional aspects of the applications.
  3. Test Execution: Perform manual testing of applications to validate their functionality, performance, and usability. Execute test cases and document test results.
  4. Defect Identification and Reporting: Identify and document software defects using appropriate bug tracking tools. Provide clear and detailed steps to reproduce issues and collaborate with developers for timely resolution.
  5. UNIX Knowledge: Utilize UNIX knowledge to set up testing environments and execute test scripts.
  6. Database Testing: Conduct database testing and validate data integrity and accuracy through SQL queries.
  7. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that new enhancements and bug fixes do not adversely impact existing functionality.
  8. Test Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date test documentation, including test scenarios, test data, and test results.
  9. Communication: Possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer with at least 4+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong expertise in FIX Protocol testing, ensuring accurate and efficient communication between financial systems.
  • Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of UNIX for setting up testing environments and executing test scripts.
  • Understanding of SQL and database testing to validate data integrity.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify defects and root causes.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software products.
  • Must be an immediate joiner, able to join within 15 days.
