Position: QA Engineer
Location: Delhi/Gurgaon, India
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing of Android TV STBs to ensure their functionality, performance, and quality.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand product requirements, features, and specifications.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Android TV STB testing.
- Conduct STB testing with a focus on NDS/Synamedia STB testing, Android device testing, and OTT solutions.
- Validate the Android TV framework, middleware, and ensure adherence to GMS certifications.
- Perform network configuration testing and ensure compatibility with various network setups.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and accurately document and report issues to the development team.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Provide valuable feedback on product usability, functionality, and performance to improve the overall user experience.
- Collaborate with QA team members to share knowledge, best practices, and testing techniques.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in QA methodologies.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of the testing process by suggesting process enhancements and automation opportunities.
Requirements:
- 1-5 years of experience as a QA Engineer, with a focus on manual testing.
- Strong experience in STB testing, preferably in the NDS/Synamedia STB testing domain.
- Proficiency in Android device testing, including Android TV.
- Knowledge of Linear TV, CAS, and OTT testing concepts.
- Understanding of test processes, test planning, and test design.
- Familiarity with Android TV frameworks, middleware, and GMS certifications.
- Working knowledge of network configuration and troubleshooting.
- Ability to analyze requirements, absorb multiple requirements, and provide effective issue analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- ISTQB certification or any relevant testing certification is a plus.
