Position: QA Engineer
Location: Indore, India
Responsibilities:
- Test Planning: Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and define test objectives, strategies, and plans.
- Test Execution: Conduct thorough and comprehensive functional, integration, and regression testing to identify defects and ensure software quality.
- Test Automation: Develop and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks.
- Defect Management: Document and track defects using appropriate tools, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Test Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data to ensure effective test coverage.
- Test Reporting: Generate comprehensive test reports, highlighting test results, metrics, and overall software quality to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously enhance the QA process by identifying opportunities for automation, process optimization, and efficiency improvements.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure seamless software delivery.
Requirements:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a QA Engineer in a software development environment is preferred.
- Technical Skills: a. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, concepts, and best practices. b. Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar frameworks. c. Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python) for test automation scripting. d. Familiarity with SQL and the ability to write basic database queries. e. Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web services (RESTful APIs) is a plus.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex software systems, identify potential issues, and propose effective solutions.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to testing, with a keen eye for identifying and documenting software defects.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and contribute to the success of the project.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and willingness to learn new technologies and tools as required.
