Position: QA Engineer
Location: Hyderabad
OpenText, a global leader in enterprise information management, is seeking a talented QA Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with 2-8 years of experience in manual testing, Selenium, Java, Jenkins, and Maven to contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct manual testing activities to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scripts to validate the software’s performance, functionality, and usability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand project requirements and ensure effective test coverage.
- Utilize Selenium, Java, and other automation testing tools and frameworks to create and maintain automated test scripts.
- Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to identify defects, bugs, and inconsistencies in the software.
- Conduct performance testing to evaluate the system’s responsiveness, stability, and scalability.
- Set up and configure Jenkins for continuous integration and automated testing processes.
- Collaborate with the development team to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues identified during testing.
- Monitor and track defects using defect tracking tools and participate in defect triage meetings.
- Participate in test planning, test estimation, and test strategy discussions.
- Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide accurate and timely test reports, including test execution status, defect reports, and overall project quality metrics.
Requirements:
- 2-8 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on manual testing.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in designing and executing test cases and test scripts.
- Experience in utilizing Selenium for automation testing.
- Strong programming skills in Java for test automation.
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins and build tools like Maven.
- Good understanding of functional, regression, and integration testing concepts.
- Experience in performance testing using tools like JMeter is a plus.
- Knowledge of defect tracking tools and processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
