Position: QA-Embedded
Location: Chennai, India
Responsibilities:
- Test Planning: Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and define test objectives, strategies, and plans.
- Test Execution: Perform thorough testing of embedded systems software to identify bugs, defects, and areas for improvement.
- Embedded Testing Projects: Work on at least one Embedded Testing project from its initial phases.
- Communication Protocols: Utilize your expertise in communication protocols such as CAN, MODBUS, Serial port, rs232/485 to test and validate embedded systems.
- Test Automation: Hands-on experience or knowledge in using Test Automation Equipment for Embedded Systems, preferably Python scripting.
- Software Test Life Cycle: Apply your knowledge of Software Test Life Cycle process and methodologies to ensure effective testing and quality assurance.
- Test Documentation: Prepare and maintain test artifacts, including test plans, test reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and hardware engineers, to ensure effective communication and seamless software delivery.
- Bug Life Cycle: Demonstrate an understanding of the bug life cycle and utilize test management tools to track and manage defects effectively.
- Communication and Teamwork: Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Analytical and Logical Thinking: Apply strong analytical and logical thinking skills to identify and troubleshoot software issues effectively.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 1-5 years of experience as a QA-Embedded professional, working with embedded systems software, is required.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: a. Good understanding of embedded systems and their testing requirements. b. Work experience on at least one Embedded Testing project from its initial phases. c. Proficiency in communication protocols such as CAN, MODBUS, Serial port, rs232/485. d. Hands-on experience or knowledge in using Test Automation Equipment for Embedded Systems, preferably Python scripting. e. Familiarity with Software Test Life Cycle processes and testing methodologies. f. Knowledge of bug life cycle and experience using test management tools.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Analytical and Logical Thinking: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and logical thinking skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.
