As a Manual Tester & QA Specialist at Oyela, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans, design test cases, and conduct various types of testing to deliver high-quality software. Your responsibilities will include:
- Test Planning: Collaborate with the development and product management teams to create comprehensive test plans that align with project goals and timelines.
- Test Case Design: Develop detailed test cases based on software requirements and user stories, ensuring thorough test coverage and adherence to quality standards.
- Execution & Tracking: Execute manual tests, record test results, and report defects to the development team, providing clear and actionable information for issue resolution.
- Regression & Compatibility Testing: Perform regression testing to verify that software changes have not negatively impacted existing functionality. Additionally, conduct compatibility testing to ensure our software works seamlessly across different environments and devices.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-2 Years of Testing Experience: You should have 1-2 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing. Previous exposure to quality assurance processes and methodologies is a plus.
- Strong Problem-Solving Skills: As a QA Specialist, you must possess strong problem-solving skills to identify, isolate, and document defects effectively.
- Knowledge of Testing Tools: Familiarity with testing tools such as JIRA, Jest, and Enzyme is advantageous and will be beneficial in executing and tracking test cases efficiently.
