Job Description:

As a QA (Manual Tester) at Thinktive, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. SDLC & STLC: Apply your knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) methodologies to drive effective testing processes.
  2. Agile Methodology: Collaborate with agile development teams, participating in sprint planning, and ensuring that testing activities are integrated into the agile process.
  3. Test Case Design: Create and maintain detailed test cases based on software requirements and user stories, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  4. Test Scenario Development: Develop test scenarios to simulate real-world usage and identify potential issues early in the development process.
  5. Manual Testing: Execute manual tests, identify defects, and accurately report issues to the development team.
  6. Defect Tracking: Utilize defect tracking tools to log, prioritize, and track the resolution of identified defects.
  7. Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to verify that software changes have not negatively impacted existing functionality.
  8. API Testing (Good to Have): If you have experience with API testing, you will contribute to testing API-linked components for system integrations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in manual software testing.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in creating test cases and test scenarios.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
  • Good to have: Experience in API testing.
