Role Overview: As a Manual Tester at Diverse Lynx, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our clients’ software applications through comprehensive testing processes. You will be responsible for creating and executing manual test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Test Planning: Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications, and contribute to the creation of detailed test plans and test strategies.
  2. Test Case Creation: Develop clear and concise manual test cases based on software requirements and design documents, ensuring complete test coverage and adherence to test standards.
  3. Test Execution: Execute manual test cases to validate the functionality and performance of software applications, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
  4. Defect Tracking: Identify, document, and track defects using established defect tracking tools, and work closely with developers and other team members to ensure timely resolution.
  5. Application Software Testing: Conduct thorough testing of various application software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  6. Test Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test data, and test results.
  7. Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor test execution progress, provide status updates, and generate comprehensive test reports for project stakeholders.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Manual Tester with 1 to 5 years of hands-on software testing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in writing clear and well-structured test cases.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools and the ability to track defects to closure.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Exposure to testing application software and understanding of various software development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and tight timelines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team.
