Role and Responsibilities:

As a Manual Tester specializing in BI Report Testing, you will be responsible for:

BI Report Testing: Conducting comprehensive testing of Business Intelligence (BI) reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance with specified requirements.
Test Planning and Execution: Developing and executing detailed manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts tailored to BI applications. Ensuring that all aspects of BI applications are thoroughly tested.
Defect Documentation: Identifying and documenting defects, discrepancies, and deviations from expected results in a clear and concise manner, facilitating effective communication with the development team.
Collaboration: Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and project managers, to address issues and ensure timely resolution of defects and discrepancies.
Requirement Analysis: Participating in requirement analysis and review meetings, leveraging your expertise to provide valuable insights for enhancing testing processes and improving product quality.
Testing Strategy Enhancement: Contributing to the development and enhancement of testing strategies, methodologies, and best practices within the Quality Assurance (QA) team.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, providing you with a strong foundation for your testing expertise.
Experience: A minimum of 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing, with a specific focus on BI Report Testing.
Testing Proficiency: Proficiency in designing meticulous test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
BI Knowledge: A strong understanding of Business Intelligence concepts, data visualization principles, and familiarity with reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, Cognos, among others.
SQL Mastery: Solid knowledge of SQL for data validation and querying from relational databases, enhancing your ability to validate data accuracy.
Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail, allowing you to systematically identify, isolate, and address issues effectively.
Agile Familiarity: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the software development lifecycle, contributing to your adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Effective communication skills, enabling you to collaborate seamlessly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Certifications: Possession of relevant testing certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, etc., will be considered a plus.
Power BI Expertise: Proficiency in Power BI testing with experience in Power BI coding and Data Quality Dashboard creation using Power BI.
