Position: Manual Tester
Location: Vashi, Navi Mumbai (Work from Office)

As part of our expansion plans, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Manual Tester to join our team in Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Manual Tester to join our software development team. The Manual Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through thorough testing and verification procedures. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of manual testing methodologies, test case creation, and defect tracking. The Manual Tester will work closely with the development team to identify and resolve any issues or bugs and ensure that the software meets the required quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing on software applications to identify and report any defects or issues.
- Develop and execute test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
- Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure that defects are fixed and new functionalities do not introduce any issues.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand the requirements and design of software applications.
- Participate in requirement analysis and review meetings to provide input on testability and potential quality issues.
- Document and maintain test cases, test plans, and test reports for future reference.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools, and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover any hidden defects or usability issues.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the overall quality and reliability of the software applications.
- Collaborate with the automation testing team to identify and automate test cases for regression testing.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, techniques, and trends in the industry to continuously improve the testing process.
- Contribute to the improvement of the overall software development process by providing feedback and suggestions for process enhancements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Manual Tester, preferably in a software development environment.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, test case creation, and defect tracking.
- Familiarity with different types of testing such as functional, regression, integration, and usability testing.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test plans.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages, such as Java or C++, is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in software testing, such as ISTQB, are desirable.
