As a Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts to identify software defects and ensure their resolution. You will collaborate closely with the development team, project managers, and clients to understand project requirements, define testing objectives, and provide feedback on product quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Executing manual tests to identify software defects, document test results, and track defects through to resolution.
  • Conducting functional, regression, and system integration testing to ensure software reliability and quality.
  • Performing database testing to validate data integrity and ensure accurate data handling.
  • Collaborating with the development team to reproduce and analyze reported defects, and provide detailed bug reports.
  • Participating in product design and requirement review meetings to provide valuable input from a testing perspective.
  • Working closely with project managers and clients to understand project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and tools.
  • Conducting performance testing to evaluate system performance, responsiveness, and stability.
  • Interacting with clients to gather feedback, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience as a Manual Tester or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, techniques, and processes.
  • Experience with test case design, test execution, and defect tracking.
  • Proficiency in database testing, including data validation and SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • ISTQB certification or other relevant certifications will be a plus.
