Position: Manual Tester

Location: Noida

Responsibilities:

  • Execute manual test cases to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of uCertify software products.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand software requirements and define test scenarios.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct thorough regression testing to validate software changes and ensure existing functionality remains intact.
  • Perform ad-hoc testing to uncover potential issues and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Write clear and concise test cases, test plans, and test reports to effectively communicate test progress and results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reproduce and troubleshoot reported defects, providing detailed information for resolution.
  • Participate in the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design review, and test strategy formulation.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in manual testing techniques and methodologies.
  • Provide suggestions and contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality assurance process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Manual Tester or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience in executing manual test cases, creating test plans, and documenting test results.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking systems to document and track software defects.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and the role of testing within it.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify, analyze, and report software defects effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
  • Passion for quality assurance and a desire to contribute to the improvement of educational software products.
