Position: Manual Tester
Location: Kochi, India
Responsibilities:
- Manual Testing: Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications to identify defects, bugs, and areas for improvement.
- Test Case Preparation: Develop and execute comprehensive test cases, ensuring coverage of all functional and non-functional requirements.
- Test Strategy: Define test strategies and approaches based on project requirements and collaborate with the project team to ensure effective test planning.
- API Testing: Perform API testing to validate the integration and functionality of software components.
- Bug Tracking: Utilize Jira or similar bug tracking tools to log and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and closure.
- Postman: Utilize Postman or similar tools for API testing and validation.
- ETL Testing / SQL: Good to have experience in ETL testing and SQL for data validation and integrity.
- Test Documentation: Prepare and maintain test artifacts, including test plans, test scripts, and test reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Test Process Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of testing methodologies and processes, actively participating in process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Manual Tester in a software development environment.
- Skills: Strong skills in API Testing, Jira, and Postman.
- Test Case Preparation: Proven experience in developing comprehensive test cases to ensure thorough testing coverage.
- Test Strategy: Ability to define and implement effective test strategies based on project requirements.
- ETL Testing / SQL: Good to have experience in ETL testing and SQL for data validation and integrity.
- Bug Tracking: Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira to log and track defects.
- Test Documentation: Experience in preparing and maintaining test artifacts, including test plans, test scripts, and test reports.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Test Process Improvement: Willingness to contribute to the improvement of testing methodologies and processes.
