Position: Manual Tester
Location: Bangalore

Sapiens, a leading global provider of software solutions for the insurance industry, is currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Manual Tester to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. As a Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through meticulous testing and analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional testing of software applications to verify their compliance with project requirements and specifications.
• Develop and execute test cases based on functional requirements, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all scenarios.
• Perform UI testing to evaluate the user experience and ensure a seamless and intuitive interface.
• Utilize SQL queries to perform database testing, ensuring data integrity and accurate functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and business analysts, to clarify requirements and troubleshoot issues.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
• Identify and document defects using a defect tracking system, and track their resolution through to closure.
• Perform regression testing to ensure the stability and integrity of the software across multiple iterations.
• Analyze test results and provide clear and concise reports to stakeholders, highlighting any deviations from expected outcomes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process by suggesting enhancements and implementing best practices.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing, and proactively apply them to improve testing methodologies.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience as a Manual Tester or a similar role, preferably in the software or IT industry.
• Strong expertise in functional testing, with a solid understanding of testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, and documenting test results.
• Experience with UI testing to evaluate usability and user experience.
• Familiarity with SQL queries and database testing, ensuring data integrity and accurate functionality.
• Good understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• ISTQB certification or any other relevant certifications in software testing is a plus.
