Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Conduct manual testing of software applications to ensure their functionality, reliability, and adherence to specifications.
  2. Create and execute test cases based on the project requirements and test objectives.
  3. Identify, document, and track defects in the defect tracking system.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure proper test coverage.
  5. Work closely with the development team to provide feedback on software quality and suggest improvements.
  6. Participate in test planning and test strategy discussions to define effective testing approaches.
  7. Perform regression testing to ensure that previously identified defects have been fixed and do not reoccur.
  8. Generate test reports and communicate test results to the project stakeholders.
  9. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, testing methodologies, and best practices.
  10. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the overall testing process.

Requirements:

  1. 4+ years of experience in manual testing.
  2. Strong knowledge of manual testing techniques, methodologies, and processes.
  3. Experience in creating test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
  4. Proficiency in defect tracking and test management tools.
  5. Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  8. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  9. Knowledge of automated testing tools and techniques is a plus.
