Position: Manual Tester

Location: Mumbai

Job Summary: HARJAI, a leading technology solutions provider, is seeking highly skilled and experienced Manual Testers to join our team in Mumbai. As a Manual Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products in the life insurance domain. You will be responsible for designing and executing manual test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our applications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the success of our clients in the life insurance industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop test plans and test cases for manual testing.
  • Execute manual test cases and document test results, defects, and issues using a test management tool.
  • Perform functional, regression, and system integration testing to validate the functionality and usability of software applications.
  • Conduct test case reviews to ensure test coverage and identify any gaps or improvements.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to troubleshoot issues and facilitate defect resolution.
  • Perform ad-hoc testing to explore software applications and identify potential areas of improvement.
  • Verify and validate software requirements against delivered functionalities.
  • Participate in meetings and provide status updates on testing progress and issue resolution.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure that the software meets quality standards and user requirements.
  • Identify, report, and track defects using a defect tracking tool and ensure their timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with team members to continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the life insurance domain.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience as a Manual Tester, preferably in the life insurance domain.
  • Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Experience in designing and executing test cases and test scripts.
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and defect tracking tools.
  • Good understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
  • Experience in functional, regression, and system integration testing.
  • Knowledge of life insurance products, processes, and regulations is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • ISTQB certification or any other relevant testing certification is a plus.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks is an added advantage.
