Position: Manual Tester
Location: Chennai, India
Responsibilities:
- Manual Testing: Perform comprehensive manual testing of software applications to identify bugs, defects, and areas for improvement.
- Test Case Development: Create and execute test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all functional and non-functional requirements.
- Test Planning: Collaborate with the development team to define test objectives, strategies, and plans based on project requirements.
- Test Execution: Execute test cases, document test results, and track defects using bug tracking tools for effective communication with the development team.
- Test Documentation: Prepare and maintain test artifacts, including test plans, test scripts, test data, and test reports.
- Defect Management: Monitor and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and closure.
- Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability and integrity of software applications after code changes or enhancements.
- Test Environment Setup: Set up and configure test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations, to simulate real-world scenarios.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Test Process Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of testing methodologies and processes, actively participating in process improvement initiatives.
- Test Tools: Utilize testing tools and frameworks to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2.5 to 11 years of experience as a Manual Tester in a software development environment is required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Manual Testing Skills: Strong expertise in manual testing methodologies, concepts, and best practices.
- Test Case Development: Proven experience in creating and executing test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of requirements.
- Test Execution: Proficiency in executing test cases, documenting test results, and tracking defects using bug tracking tools.
- Test Documentation: Experience in preparing and maintaining test artifacts, including test plans, test scripts, and test reports.
- Defect Management: Familiarity with defect management processes, including defect tracking, monitoring, and resolution.
- Regression Testing: Knowledge of regression testing techniques and experience in conducting regression testing.
- Test Environment Setup: Ability to set up and configure test environments to simulate real-world scenarios.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Test Process Improvement: Willingness to contribute to the improvement of testing methodologies and processes.
- Test Tools: Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks to enhance the testing process.
