Position: Manual Tester
Responsibilities:
- Conduct manual testing of software applications to ensure quality and reliability.
- Identify and document defects and areas for improvement in the software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve testing and technical issues that arise during the testing process.
- Collaborate effectively with project members, including developers, designers, and product managers.
- Clearly communicate test case information to ensure proper understanding by production support personnel.
- Utilize analytical skills to solve complex problems related to testing and technical issues.
- Use JIRA (if applicable) for test management and tracking.
- Adapt to the Agile methodology and participate in Agile ceremonies and processes.
- Perform mobile testing (if applicable) to ensure compatibility and functionality across different platforms.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in manual testing techniques and tools.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of QA principles and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in manual testing of software applications.
- Experience in API testing and working with tools like Postman.
- Proficiency in SQL for database testing.
- Familiarity with Jira for defect tracking and project management.
- Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems is beneficial.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities related to testing and technical issues.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with multiple project members.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to convey test case information clearly and concisely.
- Capacity to understand and solve complex problems.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Agile methodology is a plus.
- Experience with mobile testing is desirable.
