Position: Manual Tester

Location: Pune, India (WFH Permanent)

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Tester to ensure the quality and functionality of our software products. The candidate should have a strong background in manual testing methodologies, test case development, and defect tracking. As a Manual Tester, you will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance applications.

Responsibilities:

  1. Test Case Development and Execution:
  • Design and develop comprehensive test cases based on software requirements.
  • Execute manual test cases to validate software functionality and identify defects.
  • Conduct regression testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) as required.
  1. Defect Tracking and Reporting:
  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with developers to resolve defects and verify bug fixes.
  1. Test Planning and Strategy:
  • Assist in test planning and effort estimation for manual testing activities.
  • Collaborate with QA Leads and Project Managers to define test strategies.
  1. Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers and automation testers.
  • Communicate testing progress, results, and challenges to project stakeholders.
  1. Quality Assurance and Best Practices:
  • Ensure adherence to software quality assurance processes and best practices.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in manual testing.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) for defect tracking.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC).
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
