Position: Manual Tester
Location: Pune, India (WFH Permanent)
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Tester to ensure the quality and functionality of our software products. The candidate should have a strong background in manual testing methodologies, test case development, and defect tracking. As a Manual Tester, you will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance applications.
Responsibilities:
- Test Case Development and Execution:
- Design and develop comprehensive test cases based on software requirements.
- Execute manual test cases to validate software functionality and identify defects.
- Conduct regression testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) as required.
- Defect Tracking and Reporting:
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers to resolve defects and verify bug fixes.
- Test Planning and Strategy:
- Assist in test planning and effort estimation for manual testing activities.
- Collaborate with QA Leads and Project Managers to define test strategies.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers and automation testers.
- Communicate testing progress, results, and challenges to project stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance and Best Practices:
- Ensure adherence to software quality assurance processes and best practices.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in manual testing.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) for defect tracking.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC).
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
