Job Description:

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is seeking a Manual Test Engineer with expertise in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) for our Bangalore location. As a Manual Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. We are looking for individuals with 3 to 5 years of experience who can bring their expertise in manual testing, BDD, and API testing to our dynamic team.

Skills Required:

Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., QAcomplete, ALM).
Proficiency in using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM).
Expertise in Rest API testing using tools like Postman and Swagger.
Strong database skills with knowledge of MySQL and SQL server.
Hands-on experience in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, etc.
ISTQB certification.
Good to have experience with protocols (OPC-UA, IEC104, Modbus).
Good to have experience in Non-Functional Requirement (NFR) testing.
Familiarity with SAFe or Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Analytical skills to analyze, review, and understand requirements.
Ability to create test scenarios in BDD format and validate system integration scenarios.
Collaboration with project teams on Integration Scenarios.
Defect reporting and tracking.
Critical thinking and analytical abilities.
Project management skills to manage projects independently.
Preference for candidates with experience in the wind energy domain.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Management: Utilize hands-on experience with test management tools such as QAcomplete and ALM to efficiently organize and manage test cases and test execution.
Defect Tracking: Use defect tracking tools like JIRA and ALM to identify, report, and track defects throughout the testing process.
API Testing: Apply your expertise in Rest API testing using tools like Postman and Swagger to verify the functionality and performance of APIs.
Database Testing: Leverage strong database skills in MySQL and SQL server to conduct database testing, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
Behavior-Driven Development (BDD): Utilize your hands-on experience in BDD to create and validate test scenarios in BDD format, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
CI/CD and Automation: Work with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab to support automation efforts and streamline the testing process.
ISTQB Certification: Apply your ISTQB certification to maintain best practices and standards in software testing.
Protocol Experience: If you have experience with protocols like OPC-UA, IEC104, or Modbus, it will be a valuable asset to our projects.
NFR Testing: If you have experience in Non-Functional Requirement (NFR) testing, it is considered a plus.
Agile and SAFe: Collaborate effectively with project teams working in SAFe or Agile SDLC environments.
Requirement Analysis: Analyze, review, and thoroughly understand project requirements to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
Integration Scenarios: Collaborate with project teams to validate system integration scenarios and ensure seamless functionality.
