Position: Manual Test Engineer

Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh (Sector-64 Noida)

As a Manual Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products and solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, and assist in defining comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Test Execution: Execute manual test cases to identify bugs, defects, and performance issues in the software. Document and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Defect Reporting: Report defects and issues using bug tracking tools, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
  • Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that previously identified defects have been successfully fixed, and new changes have not introduced any new issues.
  • Test Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and test procedures for future reference.
  • Test Automation: Collaborate with the automation team to identify test scenarios that can be automated, and contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts.
  • Product Improvement: Provide valuable feedback to the development team for product improvement and enhancement.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously explore opportunities to optimize and improve the software testing process, including test strategies and methodologies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of project requirements and testing goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Contribute to maintaining a high standard of software quality and reliability throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Manual Test Engineer, with 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing.
  • Testing Skills: Strong understanding of manual testing concepts, methodologies, and techniques. Familiarity with different types of testing, such as functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Bug Tracking Tools: Proficient in using bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar tools for defect reporting and tracking.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accurate test case execution and reporting.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and concisely.
  • Team Player: Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify, troubleshoot, and debug software issues.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with web and mobile application testing will be an added advantage.
  • Certification: Any relevant testing certification (e.g., ISTQB) will be a plus.
