Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Manual QA Engineer with expertise in Functional Testing and API using Postman. As a Manual QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications, with a focus on functional testing and API validation. Your strong understanding of life insurance and annuities products will be advantageous in this role, as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional software solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Manual Functional Testing:
   • Design and execute manual test cases to verify the functionality and usability of software applications.
   • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and user stories.
   • Identify, document, and track defects, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.
   • Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability of applications after updates and enhancements.
2. API Testing using Postman:
   • Perform API testing to validate the accuracy and performance of web services and APIs.
   • Create API test scripts using Postman to test request and response data.
   • Collaborate with developers to address API-related issues and ensure seamless integration.
3. Life Insurance and Annuities Expertise:
   • Utilize your in-depth knowledge of life insurance and annuities products to design relevant test scenarios and cases.
   • Conduct domain-specific testing to ensure the accuracy of calculations and adherence to regulatory requirements.
4. Test Environment Setup and Maintenance:
   • Collaborate with the infrastructure team to set up and maintain test environments.
   • Ensure the availability of required test data and resources for testing activities.
5. Test Reporting and Documentation:
   • Prepare comprehensive test reports, including test coverage, defects, and test execution summary.
   • Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test scenarios, and testing procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience of 5 to 8 years in manual testing and functional testing.
• Strong expertise in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• In-depth knowledge of life insurance and annuities products is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies and best practices.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a hybrid work mode (partly remote and partly office-based).
• Strong adherence to timelines and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
