Position: Mainframe Tester
Location: Bangalore
Notice: Immediate to 15 days
We have an urgent opening for the role of Mainframe Tester with our client, MNCCompany. We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in mainframe testing, specifically with REXX experience. The ideal candidate should have expertise in manual mainframe testing, ISO 8583 authorization messaging, and proficiency in using REXX tools. Additionally, knowledge of the Payment Authorization domain and ISO 8583 messaging is required, particularly in the payments and cards industry.
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual mainframe testing activities to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
- Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
- Utilize REXX tools to enhance the testing process and automate repetitive tasks.
- Verify ISO 8583 authorization messaging to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Gain a deep understanding of the Payment Authorization domain and its related processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders, to understand requirements and project objectives.
- Identify, track, and document software defects, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Provide accurate and timely test reports, including test coverage, defect status, and overall project quality.
- Perform individual testing tasks efficiently and effectively, meeting project deadlines.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in mainframe testing methodologies and tools.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Total 5 years of experience as a Mainframe Tester.
- Strong expertise in Mainframe Testing, particularly with REXX experience.
- Proficiency in manual testing methodologies, techniques, and processes.
- Experience with ISO 8583 authorization messaging and knowledge of ISO 8583 specifications.
- Knowledge of the Payment Authorization domain, including payments and cards.
- Ability to work independently and perform testing tasks individually.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements and priorities.
- Experience in using REXX tools for automation and efficiency in mainframe testing.
