Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products and solutions.
  2. Apply strong knowledge of manual testing concepts to create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  3. Conduct thorough testing of Windows desktop-based applications, identifying defects and ensuring software functionalities meet requirements.
  4. Utilize automation testing tools, including Selenium, to enhance testing efficiency and achieve accurate results.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and provide valuable insights for the testing process.
  6. Work with applications that produce XML, HTML, and CSS, validating data and ensuring proper rendering.
  7. Utilize Help Authoring Tools such as RoboHelp, Madcap Flare, HelpStudio, or FrameMaker to create effective and user-friendly documentation.
  8. Use Azure DevOps to manage and track the testing process, ensuring effective collaboration among team members.
  9. Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the QA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  10. Conduct regular test reviews, test status meetings, and reporting to stakeholders to keep them informed about project progress.
  11. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and effective defect resolution.
  12. Identify areas of improvement in the testing process and contribute to the enhancement of QA methodologies.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  2. 10 to 15 years of experience in application testing, with a strong background in both manual and automation testing.
  3. Extensive experience in testing Windows desktop-based applications, ensuring their functionality and usability.
  4. Proficiency in working with applications that produce XML, HTML, and CSS, validating data and rendering.
  5. Experience using Help Authoring Tools, such as RoboHelp, Madcap Flare, HelpStudio, or FrameMaker, to create user-friendly documentation.
  6. Familiarity with Azure DevOps for test management and tracking.
  7. Education – MCA / Bachelors in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
  8. Excellent English language skills, both written and oral, to effectively communicate with stakeholders and team members.
  9. Experience using Selenium for automation testing, creating and executing test scripts.
  10. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and guide the QA team.
  11. Proactive and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  12. Ability to work onsite in Chennai and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
