Position: Junior QA Engineer (Manual + API)

Location: Mumbai

We are seeking a talented Junior QA Engineer with experience in manual and API testing to join our team in Mumbai. As a Junior QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of work experience in functional and non-functional software testing.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with black-box testing.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Experience with cross-platform mobile app development tools, technologies, and mobile app operating systems such as Android, iOS, or other mobile platforms.
  • Experience with wireless consumer electronics devices, smart devices, and IoT devices is a plus.
  • Experience with child-focused products, applications, and games is a plus.
  • QA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual testing to ensure the quality and functionality of our software products.
  • Create clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements.
  • Execute test cases and document test results, including defects and issues found during testing.
  • Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and troubleshoot issues, providing detailed information and insights.
  • Conduct API testing to validate the functionality and integration of APIs.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings, providing updates on testing progress and contributing to sprint planning.
  • Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest QA methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify areas for process improvement and implement effective QA strategies.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and self-motivated attitude.
  • Knowledge of automation testing tools and scripting languages is a plus.
