As an HIL Test Engineer at SmartBytes Technology, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of automotive products through Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing. With your expertise in HIL testing and dSpace tools, you will contribute to the development of high-performance software-defined vehicles. - HIL Testing:
- Plan, design, and execute HIL tests to validate automotive electronic control units (ECUs) and systems.
- Develop test cases based on product requirements and test specifications.
- dSpace Tools:
- Utilize dSpace tools, such as ControlDesk and PHS-based HIL, for automated and manual testing.
- Leverage Scalexio HiL for testing and validating embedded software.
- Network Management Tools and Communication Protocols:
- Work with network management tools like Vector CANoe and vehicle spy for network testing.
- Have a working knowledge of communication protocols, including CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet.
- Communication Bus Testing:
- Conduct testing of communication buses like CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet to ensure seamless data exchange.
- Test Automation:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for repetitive test cases using dSpace tools.
- Continuously improve test automation processes to enhance testing efficiency.
- Defect Reporting and Tracking:
- Identify, document, and report defects using established defect tracking systems.
- Collaborate with the development team to resolve identified issues.
- Test Documentation:
- Prepare comprehensive test documentation, including test plans and test reports.
- Ensure clear and concise documentation of test results and findings.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in HIL testing within the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in using dSpace tools such as ControlDesk and PHS-based HIL.
- Knowledge of Scalexio HiL for testing and validating embedded software.
- Familiarity with network management tools like Vector CANoe and vehicle spy.
- Working knowledge of communication protocols including CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet.
- Bachelor’s degree in B.Tech/BE, MCA, or MSC in relevant fields.
