Job Description:

As an HIL Test Engineer at SmartBytes Technology Services, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing setups using dSPACE tools. Your work will ensure the robustness and reliability of our automotive systems, including Body Control Modules (BCM), Infotainment, and Clusters.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HIL Setup and Maintenance:
   • Design, develop, and maintain HIL testing setups using dSPACE tools.
   • Set up and configure hardware benches to support testing and validation activities.
2. Automated Test Development:
   • Develop and execute automated test scripts on the automation desk to ensure comprehensive coverage of test scenarios.
   • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test scripts and results.
3. Collaboration and Test Planning:
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements, test cases, and test plans.
   • Participate in project meetings and provide input on testing strategies and timelines.
4. Continuous Improvement:
   • Support the continuous improvement of HIL testing methodologies and processes.
   • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in HIL testing and related technologies.
5. Domain Expertise:
   • Apply your knowledge in areas such as BCM, Infotainment, and Clusters to ensure effective testing and validation.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Proven experience in designing and maintaining HIL setups using dSPACE tools.
  • Experience in setting up and configuring hardware benches for testing purposes.
• Test Development:
  • Skilled in developing and executing automated test scripts.
  • Strong understanding of test coverage and validation techniques.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to define clear test requirements, cases, and plans.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Proactive approach to improving testing methodologies and processes.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
