Role and Responsibilities:
As a Functional QA with Supply Chain Planning at GSPANN Technologies, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions designed for the supply chain domain. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product managers, you will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test scenarios and test cases to validate the functionality of our supply chain planning applications. Your domain expertise in supply chain planning, replenishment, and demand planning will be pivotal in delivering high-quality software solutions that meet the unique requirements of our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business analysts and product managers to understand the functional requirements and specifications of supply chain planning applications. Translate these requirements into test scenarios and test cases.
- Functional Testing: Conduct functional testing of supply chain planning applications to ensure that all modules, features, and functionalities meet the specified requirements. Validate the accuracy of data flows and calculations within the application.
- Domain Expertise: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of supply chain planning, replenishment, and demand planning to identify potential business use cases and test scenarios. Validate that the application aligns with industry best practices and business processes.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new enhancements and bug fixes do not adversely impact existing functionalities.
- Usability and User Experience Testing: Assess the user-friendliness and overall user experience of the supply chain planning application. Provide feedback to improve the application’s usability and interface.
- Defect Identification and Reporting: Accurately document and report software defects using appropriate bug tracking tools. Collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- Test Data Management: Create and manage test data sets that represent real-world scenarios to facilitate comprehensive testing of supply chain planning applications.
- Test Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results, to facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Quality Assurance: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process by suggesting process enhancements, test methodologies, and best practices specific to supply chain planning testing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to communicate testing progress, test results, and potential risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Functional QA, with expertise in testing supply chain planning applications, replenishment, and demand planning modules.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain planning processes and best practices, preferably in a retail or manufacturing context.
- Familiarity with functional testing methodologies and tools to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential test scenarios and business use cases.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
- ISTQB certification or any relevant certification in supply chain planning/testing is advantageous.
