We are currently seeking a skilled Functional and Database Tester with expertise in Tradenet Application to join our team. If you have experience in testing trading applications, strong analytical skills, and a background in manual and automated testing, we invite you to be part of our team. This is a remote/work-from-home position with a contract period of 6 months, extendable based on business needs.
Position Overview: As a Functional and Database Tester at MindPool Technologies, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Tradenet Application. Your expertise in testing methodologies, manual and automated testing, and your familiarity with database systems will contribute to the successful delivery of our projects. This role offers you the opportunity to work remotely while collaborating with our team to achieve exceptional testing standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and application behavior.
- Perform functional testing, including both manual and automated testing, on Tradenet Application.
- Create comprehensive test plans, covering different testing phases, and define test plans for manual, automation, and performance testing.
- Take ownership of specific modules within the application, potentially leading sub-teams or test deliverables.
- Review and update test plans, ensuring they are comprehensive, well-documented, and aligned with quality standards.
- Maintain quality and defect management, ensuring that test coverage, productivity, and quality benchmarks are met.
- Ensure thorough review of test artifacts and work towards achieving test closure.
- Utilize your exposure to databases, such as Oracle or SQL Server, to assist in writing simple queries for testing purposes.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and logical thinking to identify potential issues and defects.
- Contribute to problem-solving efforts and provide insights to enhance testing processes.
- Leverage your familiarity with Tradenet Application and its modules/components to ensure in-depth testing.
- Collaborate effectively with the team in a remote/work-from-home setting, participating in virtual meetings and communication channels.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Tradenet Application testing, sharing insights and knowledge with team members.
- Ensure that testing activities are aligned with project timelines and contribute to the successful completion of the Tradenet Upgrade (TN20) project.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years of experience specifically in testing Tradenet Application.
- Proficiency in functional testing methodologies, both manual and automated.
- Strong experience in creating test plans for different testing phases, including manual, automation, and performance testing.
- Exposure to trading applications, particularly in Tradenet, is essential for this role.
- Familiarity with databases such as Oracle or SQL Server and the ability to write simple queries for testing.
- Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with remote team members and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to take ownership of specific modules and lead sub-teams or deliverables.
- Adaptability to remote/work-from-home work environments and effective participation in virtual meetings.
- Immediate availability to join the team.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality testing results.
