Job Summary: Globant, a global technology services company, is currently hiring for a skilled and experienced Database Tester with immediate availability to join our team. As a Database Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our database systems and applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Database Testing, Web Testing, and Manual Testing. Additionally, experience in Mobile Testing and API Testing is considered a plus. If you have 5 to 8 years of relevant experience and are ready to join us immediately.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough testing of database systems and applications to identify and report any defects or discrepancies.
  • Conduct manual testing on various web-based applications to ensure they meet high-quality standards and are free from defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand software requirements and deliver effective test solutions.
  • Create and execute test cases and test plans for Database Testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all relevant scenarios.
  • Identify, document, and track defects through the testing process, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Conduct Mobile Testing and API Testing, if applicable, to validate the functionality and performance of mobile applications and APIs.
  • Participate in system integration testing and regression testing to validate the stability and performance of the overall system.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing activities.
  • Prepare test documentation and reports, providing clear and concise updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of proven experience in Database Testing and Manual Testing.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in Database Testing, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Web Testing methodologies, validating web-based applications for functionality and usability.
  • Good understanding of Mobile Testing and API Testing is considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with test case design techniques, test execution, and bug tracking systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and report defects effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and report testing results to stakeholders.
  • Immediate availability to join the team and work with a sense of urgency.
