About the job

Position Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled test automation engineer to design automation tests. Test automation engineers’ duties include designing automation scripts and finding solutions for automation problems. You should also be committed to developing skills in order to provide up-to-date solutions.

Essential Job Duties

  • Designing and developing test automation scripts
  • Creating testing procedures to evaluate the performance of the software using tools
  • Running the software testing procedures to evaluate the software
  • Documenting all testing procedures
  • Reporting bugs and making recommendations to improve the software product
  • Using test automation guidelines
  • Researching issues in software through testing
  • Collaborating with other Test Engineers, Software Engineers, and other team members
  • Attend scrum rituals and work closely with team to deeply understand new product functional requirements
  • Write specific, comprehensive test cases to manually validate new functionality, ensuring a low defect rate.

Other Job Duties

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or HHAeXchange leader.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel 5-10%, including overnight travel, domestic & abroad (US and other delivery locations)

Required Education, Experience, Certifications And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MCA
  • 3+ years of experience as a Test Engineer in building automated and distributed commercial web-scale systems
  • Understanding of performance challenges and their solutions
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)
  • Previous experience as a Test Automation Engineer
  • Hands-on experience on Automated UI, API & Database testing
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as C#, Java, Python
  • Familiarity with testing tools (like Selenium, Katalon and JMeter)
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering and testing procedures
  • Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic data structure and algorithm knowledge
  • Automation test script design pattern – Page Object model
  • Strong understanding of testing methodology and concepts
  • Ability to troubleshoot and think out of the box
  • Strong requirements gathering, analysis and questions skills
  • Proficient in SDLC, Waterfall, and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Flexible, team player, “get-it-done” personality
  • Ability to organize and plan work independently
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams·
  • Knowledge of JIRA/Confluence and TestRail will be added advantage
