Position: Jr. Test Engineer

Location: Jaipur

Position Overview: Sehaj Synergy, a dynamic and innovative software development company based in Jaipur, is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Jr. Test Engineer. As a Jr. Test Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in testing cutting-edge software solutions. Responsibilities:

  1. Test Planning: Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and assist in developing comprehensive test plans and strategies.
  2. Test Execution: Perform manual testing activities to validate the functionality, usability, performance, and reliability of software applications.
  3. Test Case Development: Create and maintain test cases based on project requirements and specifications. Ensure test coverage and traceability.
  4. Test Execution and Defect Reporting: Execute test cases and document defects using appropriate bug tracking tools. Provide detailed and accurate defect reports to assist in issue resolution.
  5. Test Automation: Collaborate with the automation team to identify test cases suitable for automation and contribute to test script development and execution.
  6. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that software updates and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
  7. Test Data Management: Assist in setting up and maintaining test data required for testing activities. Ensure data privacy and security protocols are followed.
  8. Test Documentation: Create and maintain test artifacts, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
  9. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure effective communication and efficient project delivery.
  10. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies, tools, and techniques. Actively participate in training sessions and knowledge sharing activities.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 0-2 years of experience in software testing or a related role. Freshers with relevant internships or certifications are also encouraged to apply.
  3. Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, including test design, test execution, defect reporting, and test documentation.
  4. Familiarity with manual testing techniques and methodologies.
  5. Basic knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium or JUnit, is a plus.
  6. Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot issues.
  8. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate test results and collaborate with team members.
  9. Detail-oriented approach and the ability to work with precision and accuracy.
  10. Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and tools.
