Position: Software Tester (Internship)
Location: Pune, Maharashtra
Stringcode Technologies LLP, a fast-growing software development company based in Pune, is offering an exciting opportunity for interns to join our team as Software Testers. We are seeking individuals with 0-1 years of experience in manual testing, SQL, and API testing. This internship is open to BCA, MCA, BE, B Tech students, and other college students who are passionate about software testing and eager to gain practical industry experience.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct manual testing: As a Software Tester intern, you will be responsible for conducting manual testing of software applications. This includes executing test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and ensuring the overall quality of the software.
- Perform SQL testing: You will work with SQL databases to validate and verify the accuracy of data. This involves writing and executing SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data, as well as performing data integrity checks.
- Conduct API testing: You will be involved in testing the functionality and integration of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). This includes verifying the API responses, handling different types of data formats, and ensuring seamless communication between various software components.
- Collaborate with the development team: You will work closely with the development team to understand the software requirements, participate in design discussions, and provide feedback on the testability of features. You will also collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve reported defects.
- Create and maintain test documentation: You will be responsible for creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and other testing-related documentation. This documentation will serve as a reference for future testing cycles and help ensure consistency and traceability in the testing process.
- Assist in test automation: You will have the opportunity to learn and assist in test automation activities. This includes developing and enhancing automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks.
- Report and track defects: You will report defects discovered during testing accurately and promptly. You will track the progress of defect resolution and retest fixed defects to ensure they have been effectively resolved.
- Continuously learn and improve: You will stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and best practices in software testing. You will actively seek opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills to enhance the overall quality of the testing process.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing or completed BCA, MCA, BE, B Tech, or any relevant degree from a recognized institution.
- Knowledge of manual testing principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with SQL and ability to write and execute SQL queries.
- Basic understanding of API testing concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
