Position: Manual Tester

Stavtar, a leading technology solutions company, is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Manual Tester to join our team in Bengaluru. As a Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through meticulous testing and bug identification. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing, to identify defects and ensure optimal product quality.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand project requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Design and execute test cases and test scenarios based on specifications and user stories, ensuring complete coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
- Perform manual exploratory testing to uncover potential usability issues, user experience glitches, and other critical software defects.
- Document and track defects using bug tracking tools, ensuring accurate and detailed reporting of issues discovered during testing.
- Work closely with the development team to reproduce and debug reported defects, providing clear and concise steps to replicate issues.
- Collaborate in the identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing, and proactively share knowledge and expertise with the team.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in manual testing is desirable, but fresh graduates or candidates with 0-1 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and processes.
- Familiarity with software testing techniques, such as black-box testing, white-box testing, and regression testing.
- Basic understanding of programming languages, preferably Java or C++, to aid in test case design and execution.
- Ability to create and execute test cases, and document test results in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to think critically.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work within a team environment and liaise with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of bug tracking tools and experience in defect management.
- ISTQB or any other software testing certification is a plus.
