Job Description:

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Software Tester to join our team on a Contract-to-Hire (C2H) basis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on ETL & DB Testing, SQL, and Agile methodologies. Key Responsibilities:

1. ETL & DB Testing: Perform end-to-end testing of ETL processes and ensure data accuracy and integrity. Validate data transformations and mappings. Conduct database testing to identify and resolve data inconsistencies.
2. SQL Expertise: Write complex SQL queries to validate data and perform backend testing. Analyze data discrepancies and work with development teams to resolve issues.
3. Agile Testing: Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to understand project requirements, create test plans, and execute test cases. Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings.
4. Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and design specifications. Identify test scenarios and create test data as needed.
5. Defect Management: Document and track defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Perform regression testing to verify bug fixes.
6. Reporting: Generate test summary reports and communicate test results to project stakeholders. Provide regular status updates on testing progress.
7. Automation: Contribute to test automation efforts by identifying opportunities for automation and developing automated test scripts using relevant tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in software testing.
• Strong expertise in ETL & DB Testing, SQL, and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data validation.
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
• Knowledge of automation testing tools and frameworks is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
