Job Description:

Amdocs is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pune. As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for test automation, SQL database testing, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our testing methodologies. Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Testing: Utilize Selenium and other testing tools to automate test cases, ensuring efficient and repeatable testing processes.
• SQL Database Testing: Leverage your strong SQL skills to perform database testing using Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases.
• Test Script Development: Analyze business specification documents, understand existing test cases, and define and develop automated test scripts.
• SDLC and STLC: Apply extensive knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), methodologies, and test processes, as well as Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) principles.
• Agile Methodologies: Work within Agile development environments, contributing to testing methodologies and processes within Agile teams.
• JIRA Usage: Utilize JIRA as an Agile and Test management tool for effective collaboration and tracking.
• Selenium Automation: Hands-on experience with Selenium Automation, preferably using .Net.
• Testing Types: Conduct Sanity, Functional, and Regression testing, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
• Communication and Collaboration: Possess strong communication skills, work effectively within a team, and be an eager learner.
• Attention to Detail: Demonstrate strong testing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Independent Work: Ability to work independently on assigned tasks/modules and provide timely delivery.
• Knowledge Expansion: Possess or be willing to acquire knowledge of BI, ETL, and SharePoint testing (a plus).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3 – 5 years of experience in Automation (Selenium) testing and related tools and methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL, with experience in MS SQL Server or Oracle databases.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC/STLC.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA for Agile and Test management.
• Strong automation skills, especially in Selenium (preferably with .Net).
• Understanding of Sanity, Functional, and Regression testing.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Attention to detail, a strong desire to learn, and the ability to execute tasks effectively.
• Willingness to work independently and extend support for timely project delivery.
• Knowledge of BI, ETL, or SharePoint testing is a plus.
