Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ETL Tester / Test Lead with expertise in testing related to live streaming data. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in software testing, particularly in the context of live streaming data, rather than traditional batch load testing. Key Responsibilities:

Live Streaming Data Testing: Lead and execute testing efforts related to live streaming data processes, ensuring data accuracy, real-time processing, and minimal latency. Validate the quality of streaming data feeds and their integration with downstream systems.
Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans specific to live streaming data testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design test cases and scenarios accordingly.
Test Execution: Conduct rigorous testing of live streaming data pipelines, including data ingestion, transformation, and distribution. Identify and address data anomalies, bottlenecks, and performance issues.
Monitoring and Analysis: Implement real-time monitoring and alerting solutions to track data quality and system health. Analyze streaming data patterns and trends to ensure the integrity of the data flow.
Tool Expertise: Utilize relevant tools and technologies for live streaming data testing and monitoring, such as Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, Flink, or similar technologies.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, test data, and test results. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of test outcomes.
Defect Management: Identify and document defects, track them through resolution, and conduct regression testing to verify fixes.
Leadership: Provide technical leadership to the testing team, mentor junior testers, and collaborate with project managers to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on live streaming data testing.
Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks relevant to real-time data processing.
Extensive experience with Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, Flink, or similar technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
