Key Responsibilities:

QA Management: Lead and manage a team of QA professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight.
ETL Testing: Oversee and perform ETL testing to validate data accuracy, integrity, and adherence to transformation processes.
SQL Expertise: Utilize your strong SQL skills to write and execute complex queries for data validation and testing.
Scripting: Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts and Python scripts for automated testing.
Database Expertise: Work with various databases, including Snowflake, Redshift, Teradata, Oracle, and Big Query, to ensure data quality and performance.
ETL Tools: Utilize ETL tools like Talend, Informatica, or any other relevant tool to enhance testing processes.
Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and business logic.
Test Execution: Execute test cases, meticulously document test results, and identify and report defects or issues.
Data Validation: Ensure data completeness, correctness, and consistency across diverse data sources and targets.
Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that changes or enhancements to ETL processes do not introduce defects.
Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to evaluate the efficiency and scalability of ETL processes.
Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and address issues.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and defects.
Defect Tracking: Manage the defect tracking process, prioritize defects, and ensure timely resolution.
Process Improvement: Continuously improve QA processes, adopt best practices, and explore new technologies to enhance testing efficiency.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8 to 14 years of proven experience in QA testing, with a focus on ETL and Database testing.
Strong expertise in ETL testing, SQL, Python, and Unix shell scripting.
Familiarity with databases like Snowflake, Redshift, Teradata, Oracle, and Big Query.
Experience with ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, or similar.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to drive excellence in QA testing.
