Position: ETL Testing Engineer

Location: Chennai

We have exciting job openings for experienced ETL Testing Engineers in a leading multinational company (MNC) in the BFSI domain. If you have 6-12 years of experience in ETL testing, strong skills in writing complex queries, expertise in databases like Oracle and SQL, hands-on experience in automation testing, and a good understanding of the banking domain, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand software requirements and testing needs in the banking domain.
• Conduct ETL testing to validate the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries to perform data validations and comparisons.
• Perform data quality checks and identify and report any data anomalies or discrepancies.
• Participate in test plan and test case reviews, providing feedback on test coverage and quality improvements.
• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Perform regression testing to ensure that software changes and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
• Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor and track software defects using bug tracking systems, ensuring timely resolution and closure of issues.
• Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the testing efforts.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and best practices in ETL testing and automation testing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6-12 years of experience in ETL testing, with a strong understanding of ETL concepts and processes.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data validation and analysis.
• Experience with databases like Oracle and SQL Server.
• Strong expertise in automation testing tools and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in coding with SSIS or Java.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in the banking domain will be considered an added advantage.
