Job Description:

As an ETL Tester at Altimetrik, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our data-driven solutions. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of ETL testing activities, from data warehousing concepts to automation, with exposure to cutting-edge technologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Understanding of ETL Process: Demonstrate a deep understanding of ETL processes and the ETL QA process to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data transformation and integration.
  2. Data Warehousing Concepts: Possess a strong grasp of data warehousing concepts, ensuring that data is efficiently stored, organized, and accessible for analysis and reporting.
  3. Program Management: Be capable of effectively managing multiple programs concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  4. Agile Methodology: Apply Agile principles and methodologies to the testing process, collaborating closely with development teams to deliver high-quality software.
  5. ISRM and QA Process: Familiarity with Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) practices and the QA process is essential to maintain data integrity and security.
  6. Process Adoption: Exhibit a willingness and ability to quickly adopt and implement new processes that enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  7. Technical Leadership: Perform peer reviews, share technical expertise, and provide guidance to team members when needed.
  8. Data Testing Automation: Design and implement end-to-end automation for data testing, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
  9. SQL Mastery: Excel in writing complex SQL queries to validate and manipulate data effectively.
  10. AWS Cloud Knowledge: It’s a plus to have working knowledge of AWS Cloud services, understanding their impact on data operations.
  11. Big Data Exposure: Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Hive, PySpark, and Databricks notebooks is advantageous.
  12. Database Expertise: Display proficiency in databases like DB2, Oracle, Teradata, MS SQL, and PL/SQL.
  13. ETL Tools: Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, SSIS, or Datastage is highly valued.
  14. UNIX Proficiency: Possess working knowledge of UNIX environments.
  15. Python Skills: Familiarity with Python and Python Pandas for data manipulation and automation.
