Wipro is seeking highly skilled and motivated ETL Testers / Testing Engineers to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. As an ETL Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our data integration processes and data warehouse systems. This position requires a strong background in ETL testing, along with experience in working with databases, cloud-based technologies, and ETL tools. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in ETL testing and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

1. ETL Testing: Perform thorough testing of ETL processes, ensuring accurate data extraction, transformation, and loading into the data warehouse.
2. Database & Data Warehouse Testing: Validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency within databases and data warehouses, identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies.
3. Test Case Preparation: Create comprehensive test cases to cover various scenarios and validate ETL processes.
4. Test Strategy: Develop effective test strategies for end-to-end system testing and integration testing to ensure seamless data flow throughout the system.
5. Metadata Testing: Knowledge and experience in testing metadata to ensure data quality and consistency.
6. Azure Data Bricks: Utilize Azure Databricks for creating data frames and performing ETL validations.
7. Cloud Computing: Knowledge and hands-on experience in Azure Data Bricks and Azure Data Factory for data integration and transformation in a cloud environment.
8. ETL Tools: Proficiency in working with ETL tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Informatica.
9. Defect Tracking: Identify, document, and track defects to resolution, working closely with development teams to ensure timely bug fixes.
10. Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing of ETL processes to ensure optimal data processing and system performance.
11. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure successful project delivery.
12. Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.

Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Experience: Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in ETL testing and data warehouse testing.
3. Technical Skills:
   • Strong knowledge of ETL testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
   • Proficiency in SQL and querying relational databases for data validation.
   • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, particularly Azure Data Bricks and Azure Data Factory.
   • Experience with ETL tools like SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Informatica.
   • Basic understanding of Azure storage systems.
4. Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues effectively.
5. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey test results and collaborate effectively with team members.
6. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and adapt to changing priorities.
7. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in test case creation and execution.
