Job Description:

Are you passionate about data quality and testing? Do you have a strong background in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and are you well-versed in the AWS (Amazon Web Services) ecosystem? If so, we are looking for an ETL Lead to join our team at Zimetrics Technologies.

As an ETL Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and accuracy of our data pipelines. You will lead a team of ETL testers, guiding them in conducting comprehensive testing of our ETL processes. This role requires a deep understanding of data quality standards, experience in ETL testing, and proficiency in a programming language, preferably Python, for ETL test automation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. ETL Testing Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of ETL testers to perform end-to-end testing of data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
2. Test Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective ETL test strategies, test plans, and test cases to verify the correctness of data transformations and load processes.
3. Automation: Utilize programming languages like Python to automate ETL testing processes, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency.
4. Data Validation: Establish and maintain data validation and reconciliation processes to identify and address data anomalies or discrepancies.
5. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists, to ensure seamless integration of data pipelines into various data-driven solutions.
6. AWS Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of the AWS ecosystem to optimize ETL processes and ensure compatibility with AWS services.
7. Performance Tuning: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in ETL processes, making recommendations for enhancements.
8. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of ETL test procedures, results, and issues, ensuring traceability and compliance with industry standards.
9. Quality Assurance: Enforce data quality standards and best practices throughout the data pipeline, proactively identifying and addressing data quality issues.
10. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in ETL and data testing, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications:

1. 8+ Years of ETL Experience: A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in ETL testing, with a strong understanding of ETL processes and methodologies.
2. Programming Proficiency: Proficiency in a programming language, preferably Python, for ETL test automation and scripting.
3. AWS Knowledge: Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem and experience working with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, and Lambda.
4. SQL Expertise: Strong SQL skills for data validation, querying, and troubleshooting.
5. Data Quality Focus: A passion for data quality and a keen eye for detail to identify and address data anomalies effectively.
6. Leadership Skills: Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead and mentor a team of ETL testers.
7. Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve complex data issues.
8. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting test processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
9. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and business requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
10. Certifications: Relevant certifications in ETL testing, AWS, or related fields are a plus.
