Responsibilities:

As an Automation & ETL Tester in our product team Xfactrs, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our cutting-edge software products. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Automation Testing: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and test frameworks to validate the functionality, stability, and scalability of Xfactrs products. Employ industry best practices to maximize test coverage and efficiency.
  2. ETL Testing: Conduct end-to-end testing of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to verify data integrity, accuracy, and completeness during data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  3. Customer Interaction: Act as a key point of contact for customer interactions related to testing activities. Collaborate closely with customers to understand their testing needs, address queries, and provide timely updates on testing progress.
  4. SQL Queries: Utilize your expertise in SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for testing purposes. Perform complex data validations and troubleshoot data-related issues.
  5. Test Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications. Execute test cases and document test results effectively.
  6. Defect Management: Identify, track, and report defects using appropriate defect tracking tools. Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  7. Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to assess the responsiveness and stability of Xfactrs products under varying load conditions.
  8. Regression Testing: Execute regression testing to ensure that new features and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends. Proactively identify areas for process improvement and contribute to enhancing the overall testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  10. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and support teams, to ensure a seamless end-to-end product testing process.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  1. Experience: A minimum of 4 to 7 years of experience in automation testing and ETL testing, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality test results.
  2. Automation Tools: Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or any other widely used testing frameworks.
  3. ETL Tools: Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, or similar, along with a strong understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing.
  4. SQL Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and validation. Ability to write complex queries for data testing purposes.
  5. Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
  6. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.
  7. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure thorough testing and accurate defect reporting.
  8. Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
