As an Automation & ETL Tester in our product team Xfactrs, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our cutting-edge software products. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Automation Testing: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and test frameworks to validate the functionality, stability, and scalability of Xfactrs products. Employ industry best practices to maximize test coverage and efficiency.
- ETL Testing: Conduct end-to-end testing of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to verify data integrity, accuracy, and completeness during data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Customer Interaction: Act as a key point of contact for customer interactions related to testing activities. Collaborate closely with customers to understand their testing needs, address queries, and provide timely updates on testing progress.
- SQL Queries: Utilize your expertise in SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for testing purposes. Perform complex data validations and troubleshoot data-related issues.
- Test Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications. Execute test cases and document test results effectively.
- Defect Management: Identify, track, and report defects using appropriate defect tracking tools. Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to assess the responsiveness and stability of Xfactrs products under varying load conditions.
- Regression Testing: Execute regression testing to ensure that new features and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends. Proactively identify areas for process improvement and contribute to enhancing the overall testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and support teams, to ensure a seamless end-to-end product testing process.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Experience: A minimum of 4 to 7 years of experience in automation testing and ETL testing, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality test results.
- Automation Tools: Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or any other widely used testing frameworks.
- ETL Tools: Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, or similar, along with a strong understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing.
- SQL Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and validation. Ability to write complex queries for data testing purposes.
- Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure thorough testing and accurate defect reporting.
- Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
