Job Description

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for Bigdata applications
• Work closely with development and support teams to identify, troubleshoot and resolve defects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
• Analyze user requirements and technical specifications to ensure test coverage
• Design and implement automated testing scripts using tools like Selenium, Cucumber or JMeter
• Conduct performance/load testing to identify and resolve issues related to scalability and stability
• Maintain and update test documentation and provide status reports to senior management

Qualification and Skills

• 0-3 yrs:
• Big Data Exposure.
• Good knowledge of Big Data technologies, preferably Hadoop, Spark, Hive.
• Understanding of databases and SQL
• 3-8yrs:
• Hands-on experience in testing any Big Data platforms and services.
• Knowledge of On-premise platforms like Cloudera, Hortonworks, etc.
• Should have the operational instincts and keen attention to details to think beyond the obvious and come up with solutions
• Good knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Good knowledge of Big Data technologies, preferably Hadoop, Spark, Hive.
• What will make you stand out:
• Good Knowledge of Big Data technologies like BigQuery, Kafka, Impala, Presto, Oozie and Airflow, Elasticsearch, HBase, and Snowflake
• Hands-on experience in testing data pipelines, Big data platforms and services
• Knowledge of Cloud data technologies and platforms like EMR, DataBricks, GCP, HDInsights, Kubernetes, BigQuery, etc.
