Job Description
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases for Bigdata applications
- Work closely with development and support teams to identify, troubleshoot and resolve defects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
- Analyze user requirements and technical specifications to ensure test coverage
- Design and implement automated testing scripts using tools like Selenium, Cucumber or JMeter
- Conduct performance/load testing to identify and resolve issues related to scalability and stability
- Maintain and update test documentation and provide status reports to senior management

Qualification and Skills
- 0-3 yrs:
- Big Data Exposure.
- Good knowledge of Big Data technologies, preferably Hadoop, Spark, Hive.
- Understanding of databases and SQL
- 3-8yrs:
- Hands-on experience in testing any Big Data platforms and services.
- Knowledge of On-premise platforms like Cloudera, Hortonworks, etc.
- Should have the operational instincts and keen attention to details to think beyond the obvious and come up with solutions
- Good knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Good knowledge of Big Data technologies, preferably Hadoop, Spark, Hive.
- What will make you stand out:
- Good Knowledge of Big Data technologies like BigQuery, Kafka, Impala, Presto, Oozie and Airflow, Elasticsearch, HBase, and Snowflake
- Hands-on experience in testing data pipelines, Big data platforms and services
- Knowledge of Cloud data technologies and platforms like EMR, DataBricks, GCP, HDInsights, Kubernetes, BigQuery, etc.
