Job Description: As a Software Test Engineer at LTIMindtree, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, automating test scripts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions to our clients. - Collaborate with the development team and product owners to understand software requirements and create detailed test cases.
- Design and execute manual and automated test scripts using Selenium, Java with Appium, and Python.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing of web and mobile applications to identify defects and ensure software quality.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites to achieve maximum test coverage and accelerate the testing process.
- Participate in test planning, test strategy, and test estimation activities.
- Identify, report, and track defects using appropriate bug tracking tools and ensure timely resolution.
- Continuously enhance test automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and maintainability.
- Conduct database testing using SQL queries to validate data integrity and data transformation processes.
- Analyze test results, provide feedback to the development team, and contribute to the continuous improvement of software quality.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues and ensure smooth software delivery.
- Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies to drive innovation and improve testing practices.
- Adhere to the company’s software development processes, coding standards, and quality guidelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 5 to 8 years in software testing, with a focus on automation testing using Selenium, Java with Appium, and Python.
- Strong proficiency in writing and executing test cases and test scenarios for web and mobile applications.
- Hands-on experience in creating and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Appium.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Java and Python to implement test automation scripts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and integration of automated test scripts into the build pipeline.
- Experience with testing web services and APIs using tools like Postman or REST-assured.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database testing for data validation and data-driven testing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Adaptability and willingness to work in a 5-day week, 8-hour shift (4 PM – 12 AM IST) from Monday to Friday.
